I recently found out Ma and Pa have a song of their own from back in the day of courtship. It's called "The Sweetheart Tree" and I put it on the blog.

Family Campout '08
The first camping trip of the year is over and already we are looking forward to the one in August. we had a lot of fun. We took Jack, Buck, Josie, Molly and Jazz. Jazz and Molly soon decided they were not interested in horse rides. Molly feigned a leg problem and Jazz thought running beside the horses was too much work. Sean and Kevin took Caid, Lindsay, and Tanner on a snipe hunt. they came home empty handed. Maybe next hunt will be more profitable. Sean showed his talent in dutch ovens while Garth was on the grill. The biggest hit as usual was roasting marshmallows among the kids. All the kids got to ride including Mallory, Emma and Mason. Sean, JoAnn and Family were the only ones that stayed over we hope more will in August. We are happy everyone came up when they could. We had fun!

Things I Can't Live Without
I was tagged by Joann. Here's 10 NON LIVING things I can't live without.
- Church - like my family, the gospel gives be hope and stability in my life.
- Utah Jazz - Jerry, DWill and the crew is my reason for living during the cold winter months. Someday I hope to have a son named Stockton.
- Mountains - without the mountains around us I would go insane. I wouldn't know east from west and I wouldn't have anywhere to vacation and ride horses.
- ESPN - I realize the people reading this are most likely my lovely baseball mom sisters... So basically TLC and The FoodNetwork to you is ESPN to me.
- Basketball, Golf, and Baseball. I love all sports but these 3 are my favorite.
- My Car - 99 percent of Mazda 3 drivers are high school cheerleaders... I make up the 1 percent.
- My Phone - what's life without it?
- Farm - I am very thankful ma and the old man taught us all to work... I enjoy hauling 2000 bales in a single week.
- My Job - without my job, I would be living in a van down by the river close to Fieldstone.
- UTAH - I have been to many different places outside Utah. It's always the same story no matter where I go... I like seeing new places but I am glad to call Utah home. Happy Valley is a great place to live.

The "Masonator"

May 17th, Mason Stephen Swenson is the newest addition to the Swenson clan. The little guy weighed in at 7 1b 13 oz and was blessed with a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet, "Business in front party in back". Unfortunately the cute little guy needed to spend some time in the hospital. Mason had a stomach condition that didn't allow him to keep food down. After a minor surgery at Primary Children's Hospital, the Masonator is doing well... Steve, Wendy, and I have formulated a plan. The Masonator will be granted 2 years to mature, after which Steve and I will begin extensively training the boy to become the greatest golfer and basketball player of the modern era.

I was tagged
- When I was young, I always played with my ears to the point that I lost cartilage. Now I can fold my ear inside out. Down side though, my ears can get cold in a hurry.
- I listen to the Sean Hannity radio show often. Very rarely do I disagree with anything Sean says. Therefore, if you want my opinion on something political, listen to Hannity.
- My all time favorite TV show is M*A*S*H. It's before my time, yet I own the complete series. I think the comedy is funny and original and for the most part clean.
- I coach a little league baseball team. Both Caid and Tyler are my ballers. They're good sports to listen to their uncle and I have fun coaching them.
- My favorite baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals. I also like and follow the Rockies, but my first MLB game ever was the Cardinals in St. Louis. Therefore I adopted them.
- I find washing and detailing cars to be relaxing. I have tendency to allow my room to get messy but somehow my car and work truck always seem to be tidy. Nothing better than a shinny exterior and interior along with a cucumber/watermelon air freshener.

What is a Dad?
A dad is a person
Who's loving and kind,
And often he knows
What you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
Suggests and defends...
A dad can be one
Of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
But when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
And helpful and strong.
In all that you do
A dad's love plays a part -
There's always a place for him
Deep in your heart -
And each year that passes,
You're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
Just to call him your dad!
